Equipment Requirements:

  1. Pistol – Full-sized, in a caliber suitable for defensive use (rentals available with advance notice).

  2. Magazines – At least two magazines.

  3. Carrying Bag – For safe transport of your pistol.

  4. Ammunition200 rounds (9mm available for sale at the event).

  5. Ear Protection – Active electronic ear protection recommended (loaners may be available, so arrange in advance).

  6. Eye Protection – Required for safety.

  7. Recommended Attire:

    • Baseball cap or brimmed hat (for sun and brass deflection)

    • Comfortable shoes suitable for moving on packed dirt

    • Weather-appropriate clothing

    • Sunscreen

    • Water, snacks, and other personal essentials

Defensive Pistol One: The Intro Course for Self-Defense

What You’ll Learn:

Firearm Safety & Handling –proper gun handling, safe storage, and carry methods.
Choosing the Right Firearm – Understand what works best for defensive use.
Essential Shooting Skills – Develop proper grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control.
Shooting in Realistic Scenarios – Engage multiple targets and adapt to various situations.
Immediate Performance Improvement – Expect a noticeable boost in accuracy and confidence by the end of this 4-hour course.

A Practical, Hands-On Experience

This isn’t just a classroom lesson—you will be actively shooting. Whether using your own firearm or one of our rentals, you’ll gain hands-on experience under professional instruction.

At the end of the course, each participant will receive an objective skills evaluation and a personalized training plan for continued improvement, including dry-fire drills to practice at home.

We also encourage students to stay after class for a guided firearm cleaning session—we provide the supplies; you bring the questions.
